2 in 1 Special!

Home again home again! Last week we were at YWAM Tijuana doing our service weekend and hanging out with the TJ group for the "Worldview" lecture week. Here are my highlights:

Traveling to Tijuana!

• Last week was biblical overview with Jeremy - great summary of the bible's structure, creation, and authorship. Probably one of my favorite weeks.
• The Music and Missions DTS graduated and left to their respective countries. We will miss their constant jamming and lovely voices! 
• Our outreach leader, Gabby, had her mom pass away just last week. Please be praying for her and her family.
• Service weekend with the 10+ year olds! Friendship bracelets were a success (with the DTS students as much as with the kids) and I got to introduce myself as Scream again - which was a blast.
• Our speaker in TJ, Daniel, started the week by calling us out and reminding us to throw off our victim mentality. "The world was fine before you were here. The world will be fine after you are gone!" Playing the victim negates the power of responsibility and choice!
• Finished the book "Forgotten God" by Francis Chan, which really challenged me to examine why I was asking for the Holy Spirit's gifting in my life. Because the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for the church, NOT for the INDIVIDUAL.
• How many times can you realize the depths of your selfishness and self-consumed mentality? So far my count's at three...and still growing! But how lovely to know that in searching to be rid of myself I get to be more true to myself.

• Shopping! A large group of us got to go into San Diego to do some outreach shopping and hang out at the mall. Got myself a wonder woman shirt because, let's face it, I am wonder woman.
